The Edinburgh Sleep Lady: I offer a bespoke service to families all over the world, working one-to-one with families either in their own homes or over the telephone and internet.

Every family is an individual with a child who has its own little character, therefore each sleep programme that I design is made up for a family and its needs, routines and habits.

Home Visits: I will come to your home and work one-to-one with you, tailor-making a sleep programme that best suits your way of life and your child's character. Once the plan is put into action regular support through home visits and telephone will be offered to make sure your plan stays on target.

Telephone/Internet Support: I will speak to you in detail over the phone, gaining valuable insight into how you have got to where you are and where you would like to be.  Together we will make a plan to get your child to sleep through the night. Regular contact while you put the plan into action will follow by telephone and internet.

Happy mum , great sleeper !
'I contacted Linda after nine months of sleepless nights and zombie days to try and resolve my son's sleep patterns. Nothing else had worked. Within a few days she helped to change our lives forever. Her methods weren't stressful or upsetting and suddenly I had the energy to be a better Mum. She also gave me a great deal of support and reassurance that we hadn't damaged our boy forever and shouldn't feel guilty about the small things we hadn't got quite right for him. My son is now 7 and still sleeps for 11 hours a night - a gift that Linda helped us to give him. And she was right: he wasn't scarred by our uselessness at all. He's a very affectionate, bright, happy and confident boy who is very articulate about his needs."

Anxious sleeper and fussy eater

Claire turned to a parent coach for help after her three-year-old son, Alasdair, became unsettled at night. "Alasdair became a nightmare, very clingy and wouldn’t walk or sleep.  He always wanted to be carried, was whining and was only happy in my company.  He also became much more of a fussy eater and would only eat rice and bread.  He was tired and grumpy all day, and would become very upset going to nursery."

We had an initial two-hour briefing where we came up with a plan together. "Linda said things were going to get worse before they got better, and they did.  But after a couple of weeks he became more settled at nursery and happier at home, waking up less and eating better too.

"Now, the change is just amazing and we can all get a decent night’s sleep. I sort of knew I was doing the right thing before, but Linda gave me the confidence to carry it through.

Anxious three year old night waker

My daughter’s sleeping has always seen good spells and bad spells. Somehow we were always able to deal with it and get back to a manageable routine. However, as she approached the age of 3, bad dreams, night fears and anxiety seemed to creep in. What began as a few nights coming into Mummy and Daddy’s bed for a reassuring cuddle escalated into spending virtually the whole night together. We knew it was something we needed to change, but we were at a loss what to do, having tried all the tricks that had worked in the past. I was tired of hearing that we should just let her cry it out, and beating ourselves up about being too soft, knowing that my daughter had some true fears about being alone. Linda offered an independent and sympathetic viewpoint, which I think was the key to the success of the plan we put in place together. She provided support over and beyond our expectations and has helped us train our daughter to go to bed happily and (if not more importantly) put herself back to sleep throughout the night without needing us. Seeing her night-time confidence grow has been fantastic. Thank you Linda!
